Associated Species: Quercus oblongifolia, Juniperus deppeana, Garrya wrightii, Yucca madrensis, Nolina microcarpa, Bothriochloa barbinodis, Cercocarpus breviflorus, Mimosa dysocarpa, Pinus discolor.
Description: Perennial bunchgrass; spikelets reddish.
