Habitat: Slash pine and marsh. Soil characteristics: Corolla-Duckston sands, gently undulating, flooded (3) - very deep, somewhat poorly drained Corolla soil and poorly drained Duckston soil found in gently undulating areas of low dunes and swales in coastal lowlands. Associate plant species: Cenchrus spinifex, Chamaesyce maculata, Eragrostis elliottii, Juncus roemerianus, Baccharis halimifolia, Cuscuta indecora, Eleocharis montevidensis, Cyperus odoratus, Fuirena scirpoidea, Polygonella polygama var. polygama. Rare.
