Locality: Mexico, Sonora, Guaymas, San Carlos, NE shore of Bahia San Carlos, undeveloped land between Marina San Carlos and bridge across El Esterito at head of bay.

Elevation: 3 meters (10ft)
Habitat: Thicket in a swale near shore of bay.
Associated Species: Prosopis glandulosa, Leucaena leucocephala, Washingtonia robusta, Phoenix dactylifera, Parkinsonia aculeata, Cenchrus ciliaris, Atriplex.
Description: Sprawling feral tree, 5 m tall x 7 m wide; leaves alternate, cordate, glabrous; flowers yellow with dark red center, aging red.
Notes: Duplicates to ARIZ, ASU, USON.
