Small fen dominated by Carex. Several shrub zones of Cornus and a large wooded zone of Tamarack, Cornus, and poplur. Autumn olive encroaching on edges and some within fen on northern side. Nirdlingers maintain surrounding prairie. Homeowner to north manacures land in the lawn fashion to the edge of his property. 100m south of manicured pond with Typha. Small wooded area, 70m southwest of quadrat, 20m east of the heavy Carex stricta hummocks. Still slightly hummocky but drier and hummocks not as "tall." Still Carex stricta dominated, but other sedges, asters, and shrubs are more frequent.
Population - found in small clusters of 3-10 individuals in Carex.
