Habitat: Mesic stream terrace forest. Geology - Fleming Formation (Miocene), just below Willis. Soils - Kanebreak (Cumulic Haplaquolls). Community dominated by Quercus nigra - Q. falcata/ Chasmanthium sessilifolium.
Reproductive Condition: flowering + fruiting=mid
