Inundated and dominated by Typha latifolia and Carex stricta. Located at west end of fen, area is farily diverse, but appears stressed. Dasiphora fruticosa present but dying. Mentha canadensis and Verbena hastata very common. Shrubby sedge meadow on northern edge of fen. Shrubs are mostly Physocarpus opulifolius and Corylus americana. Carex stricta dominates herbaceous layer along with Symphyotrichum puniceum, Solidago gigantea, Glyceria striata, and Phalaris arundinacea. Ground moist.
