Lakeside prairie fen around Braxee Lake and smaller Little Braxee Lake to the east. Sedge and Dasiphora fruticosa dominant with Salix, Cornus, and Toxicodendron vernix shrubs. Dense stands of Typha with moderately deep water separate fen on north side of Braxee Lake. Heron rookeries (old bog and current rookery) border the north side of fen. Invaded with Typha angustifolia, Phalaris arundinacea, Phragmites australis, and Lythrum salicaria. Eastern most section of fen, 50m east of Little Braxee Lake, about north-south central. Carex, Lythrum salicaria, Typha latifolia, Rosa, Cornus, Salix, and Toxicodendron vernix dominant. Shrubs over 2m every 4m2, saplings fill the space in between. Ground more or less even with standing water often.
Population - One of the 3 tickseeds with simple opposite leaves with no petiole (Bidens comosa, B. connata, B. cernua). No flowers seen in immediate area. Uncommon.
