Habitat: Inundated and dominated by Typha latifolia and Carex stricta. Located at west end of fen, area is farily diverse, but appears stressed. Dasiphora fruticosa present but dying. Mentha canadensis and Verbena hastata very common. Wooded fen with Larix laricina, Acer saccharinum, and abundant Toxicodendron vernix. Herbaceous layer dominated by Carex stricta and Lythrum salicaria. Other common species include Frangula alnus, Thelypteris palustris, Eutrochium maculatum, Typha latifolia, and Symplocarpus foetidus. Ground wet and substantially covered in Sphagnum spp.
