Locality: United States, Florida, Alachua, United States: Florida: Alachua County. Kanapaha Botanical Gardens; The Kanapaha Water Gardens; north edge of the upper pond. Growing ca. 1 foot above water level and shaded by an Iris species. Plant multistemmed to ca. 60 cm tall. Stems, petioles and the undersides of some leaves red. Upper leaf surfaces dark green and shiny. Leaves thick. Flowers with white red tinted tepals. Pistillate flowers with light yellow styles, staminate flowers with dark yellow anthers. Immature fruit light green, mature fruit brown. Lat. 29.61212°N Long. 082.41099°W Datum: WGS84. S21,T10S,R19E.
