Locality: Haiti, Sud, Haiti: Sud. Massif de la Hotte; Parc National Pic Macaya; moist forest on limestone (rak bwa), sometimes disturbed, on hills south of Morne Formon, near Ville Formon, 1200-1250 m elev. Very diverse assemblage of broadleaved species; note esp. Myrsine, Dendropanax, Prunus, Garrya, Beilschmiedia, Cecropia, Tabebuia, Brunellia, & melastomes. Scattered epiphyte; fruit greenish (with a red tinge)--immature.
Reproductive Condition: vegetative
Preparations: Preserved herbarium specimens
