Locality: Haiti, Sud, Haiti: Dept.: Sud. Massif de la Hotte. Macaya Biosphere Reserve. Bwa Formon (Bois Formond). Extremely disturbed moist forest on limestone skirting Ravine Seche, ca. 4 km E of base camp at Tila Despagne's house. Elev. 900-1,000 m. Disturbed "rak bwa" with Cecropia, Miconia, Heterotrichum, Gesneria, Comocladia, Rauwolfia, Croton, Alchornea, Cupania, Cyathea, Conostegia, and Wallenia. Occasional epiphyte. Berries white, gelatinous.
