Thought these might be M. godfreyi but determined as M. muscorum (= M. muriculata) by Richard Rabeler (MICH), May 2007.

Open, hydric Quercus similis flatwoods with lush herbaceous layer, adjacent to saline soil barrens.
Plants procumbent proximally, then ascending distally. Semi-persitent sterile leaves at base of plants. Fresh flowers white.
