Locality:
United States, North Carolina, Randolph, Growing along western edge of nursery. North Carolina Zoological Park, Asheboro.
Habitat:
Growing in damp soil.
Description:
Not abundant. Corolla 4-petaled, pink to rose; petals round, 2 mm across; 4 -merous; filaments pink; borne on short pedunculate, axillary cymes and appearing verticillate. Sepals connate, accrescent. Leaves sessile, hastate, glabrous, weakly falcate. Quadrangular stems to 45 cm; erect to somewhat spreading.
