Habitat: Floating marsh. Soil Characteristics: Lafitte-Clovelly Association (LA)- level, very poorly drained, very slowly permeable, saline organic soils that formed in decomposed herbaceous plant material commonly found in brackish/intermediate marshes. Associated plant species: Panicum repens, Spartina patens. Abundant.
