United States, Tennessee, Jackson, Dirt cave near the Roaring River in Jackson County. Get on highway 135 North, continue on for about 35 minutes, then veer off onto Overton Rd. Turn right onto Roaring River Road. This species was found along the west side of the dry river across from the dirt cave.
Elevation: 1049 feet. The Paw paw tree is small in size growing to 35 ft. tall. The leaves are symmetrically clustered at the end which are simple, alternate, and spirally arranged in sequence. It has petioles and lacks stiples. These flowers reach growth at 1.5-2 in. long.
