United States, Tennessee, Jackson, 11.7 miles from Gainesboro, Washmorgan Hollow. Traveling on Highway 135, Dodson Branch, turn onto Spring Creek Road. Follow Spring Creek Road until it becomes a dirt road and follow that down into the hollow. Specimens were found about 3-4 miles down dirt road adjacent to the plant reserve owned by the Nature Conservancy. Latitude: N 36.34 Longitude: W-85.53. Elevation: 1074 feet.
It is wooded area with dense vegetation growing. It is a moist area located near a creek. The leaves are rounded and have a grayish - green appearance. They are petiolate at the bottom of the stem and sessile towards the top. The flowers are blue and have five fused petals into a bell-shaped and are arranged in a cyme. There are five stamens.
