Plant was across the riverbed and opposite of the cave in a clearing that was surrounded by trees just above the riverbank. Surrounded by many plants less than a foot high. Soil appeared to be somewhat rocky. Johnson grass is an abundant species found along the side of roads. The inflorescence ranges between 15-18 in. The seeds are yellow and pods have been opened.
