In a NNW mesic hardwood-hemlock ravine traversed by Grant House Creek and conglomeratic sandstone blocks. Associates: Polygonatum biflorum, Trillium erectum, Phlox divaricata, Hepatica acutiloba, Asarum canadense, Smilacina racemosa.
