Locality: United States, Tennessee, Clay, Allons, East of city of Allons, property at the end of HWY 294 in East Clay County, Willow Grove Resort and Marina. Property runs parallel to Dale Hollow Lake. First side road on the right past the sign. Wooded area above Highway 294 between two homes.

Substrate: Clay and Loamy soil type that was semi eroded

Description: They are typically deciduous shrubs with rough grey-brown bark. The leaves are opposite, usually simple but sometimes trifoliate with a basal pair of small leaflets, the margin is serrated or entire. The flowers are bright yellow with a deeply four-lobed flower, the petals joined only at the base.
